She started her professional journey in 1999 and was Associated with Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS). Worked as Clinical Researcher with Department of Clinical Psychology & Psychiatry, Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) for nearly 3 years from 2001-2003 years.In 2006she completed her M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from IHBAS. Soon after she completed her Ph.D in the area of Child Mental Health. She then got associated as a consultant at Max Hospital, Patparganj and Noida. Henceforth, she has been an integral part of the hospital as a Senior Consultant specializing as a Child and Adult Clinical Psychologist, Developmental and Behavioral Therapist. Her practise is holistic, competency based and focused on character and personality development.

Her areas of expertise include:Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Family and Relationship counselling, Behavioural Therapy, Psychometric Assessment, Personality Assessment, Assessment of IQ and Learning disorders. She is a certified professional by CBSE for certifying children with Specific Learning Disability and helping to provide them with concessions as per CBSE guidelines.She is also extremely well equipped in conducting Developmental, Cognitive, and Academic evaluations for diagnostic purposes and early intervention services.

Furthermore, she is an illustrious behaviour therapist and deals with behavioural issues in children like ADHD, Conduct Disorder and developmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Pervasive Developmental Disorders.

Outside her practise, she has been conducting workshops for parents and teachers on topics like orientation of teachers towards Specific Learning Disabilities, sensitizing parents and teachers in schools towards Mental Health Issues evident in children. Her wonderful nature with teenager has attracted many schools in inviting her to conduct workshops for school children on topics like Handling Examination Stress, Effective Study Skills, Handling Peer Pressure, Risk Taking Behaviour, etc. additionally, she conducts courses for graduate and post-graduate students on Overview of Mental Disorders, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, HIV-AIDS counselling, Psychological Assessments etc.

  • Associated with Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychiatry, Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) from 1999 to 2006. The work experience during this tenure included the following:
  • Completed an internship for 3 months in the Department of Clinical Psychology from 1.6.99 to 1.9.99 under the supervision of Dr. T. B. Singh, Prof. and Head, Department of Clinical Psychology.
  • Worked as an associate psychologist with Dr. T. B. Singh from 2.9.99 to 21.12.99.
  • Worked as Clinical Researcher with Department of Clinical Psychology & Psychiatry, Institute of Human Behaviour & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) for nearly 4 years in the following research projects:

- Worked as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a community based ICMR funded research project, “Mental health consequences and service needs of a disaster (fire) affected community in an urban slum” from 22.12.99-3.12.2001.

- Worked as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in OPD based ICMR funded research project, “A survey of burden and coping strategies of caregivers of patients with severe mental disorders” from 4.12.2001- 30.9.2003. Research work included data collection, Counselling sessions, educational sessions and conducting focus group discussions at individual level.

  • Completed M.Phil (Clinical Psychology) from Department of Clinical Psychology, IHBAS (October, 2004 – October, 2006).
